Hello Darlings, Madame X here…hoping you are enjoying the start of a new Spring full of possibilities and dreams. This time of year has me brimming with ideas and hopes. The past month brought friends from out of town, a mischievous moon and focusing on getting some new and pretty things into the online shop.  On my day trips, I picked up some lovely beads, boas and flowers. I’ve incorporated a melange of bright and pretty colors into a variety of bracelets.

My creations are always such diametrically different combinations.  I can never decide whether to go with soft pastel hues, such as pink and lavender, or classic black and white…so…I did it all!  I love the brightness of reds/hot pink, the tranquil turquoise paired with sparkling rhinestones and the morose black glass with skulls playing alongside them.

Analog Girl…

Analog Girl

Analog Girl

Hello Darlings, just a quick post this week. It amazes me how much time I spend online these days, whether it be research, photo editing, writing, tracking down materials or posts on social media.  It can seem overwhelming sometimes!

After hours at the desk I have to push away, only to realize the whole day has passed in a flash. In all honesty however, I prefer the tactile quality of paper and pen, pencil and sketchbook.  I can spend hours looking at fabrics and touching them, comparing their weight, texture, colors and patterns. I might find myself walking in the park and taking photographs…how I miss the magic of film, so much nowadays is instant gratification…no wonder we have little attention span for anything that takes over a minute!

How about you, Darlings?  What is your favorite “analog” activity?  One of mine is listening to vinyl LPs on my old record player, it’s grainy, scratchy and most of the music cannot be found easily online.

OH, your cheetah heart…or a leopard will never change its spots!

Grrrr Darlings...Ava Gardner in leopard print and fishnets

Grrrr Darlings…Ava Gardner in leopard print and fishnets

Hello Darlings! February already and you know what that means…yes..we are bombarded by a plethora of hearts, flowers, candies and cards in all shades of sweet pinks and reds.  Come to think of it, those things should be in your life most days, which for me it is…I love to surround myself with color and light…EVERY day is special Darlings…so make sure you take the time to visit loved ones and to reach out to the forgotten.  Sharing smiles is the BEST accessory!

As is usually the case, Madame X has been working on some adorable little toppers for those who wish to put their best foot forward….or paws, in this case.  I simply adore a beautiful leopard print, (faux of course!)  This week I created a little chapeau to crown one’s hair, made of blushing felt leopard spots…sprinkled it with shirred red heart tulle and placed a glittering scarlet heart in its center.  It clips easily to hair and can be worn to any occasion.  Gurrrrrrrls beware of breaking hearts and racing pulses…it’s purrrrfectly enchanting … just make sure to avoid the cheetahs though, they’re players.

Wishing you a wonderful week ahead…

xoxo
